Aztecs Going Pro is SDSU Athletics' comprehensive four-year student-athlete development program, preparing Aztecs for success in the classroom, in their careers, and in their communities. Through academic support, career readiness programming, leadership development, and civic engagement, student-athletes graduate ready to lead long after their playing careers end.

Record-Breaking Academic Success

The 2025-26 academic year was the most successful in SDSU Athletics history.

• 3.32 cumulative department GPA - the highest annual GPA ever recorded
• 3.33 Spring 2026 GPA - highest spring GPA in department history (excluding the COVID-19 grading period)
• 3.32 Fall 2025 GPA - highest fall GPA ever
• 439 Scholar-Athletes recognized for academic achievement
• 97 student-athlete graduates in 2026

Preparing Student-Athletes for Life After Graduation

Aztecs Going Pro equips student-athletes with the professional skills and experiences needed to thrive after college.

This year we provided:

• 35 summer internships
• 150 mock interviews
• 55 alumni serving as interviewers and mentors
• Our first Student-Athlete Career & Internship Expo, connecting more than 150 student-athletes with 25 employers and alumni

Leadership & Community Impact

SDSU student-athletes continue to make an impact beyond competition.

• More than 1,630 community service hours completed through #BiggerThanUs and SAAC
  SDSU nominated for the NACDA Community Service Award
• Hosted the 5th Annual ACE Awards, celebrating excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, career development, and civic engagement
• Produced two finalists for the prestigious Collegiate Women's Sports Awards Inspiration Award - the first institution in the nation to do so
