Support SDSU Club Tennis at Nationals!
What is the SDSU Club Tennis Team?
Established in 2013, the San Diego State University Club Tennis Team is a competitive, coed sports club under Associated Students. Our team consists of dedicated student-athletes who are passionate about representing SDSU while fostering a supportive and competitive environment. We compete in men's, women's, and mixed doubles events, allowing players of all skill levels to develop their game, build lasting friendships, and represent the university with pride.
What we accomplish:
As one of the top collegiate club tennis programs in the country, the SDSU Club Tennis Team travels throughout California and across the nation to compete in tournaments against other universities while also hosting tournaments on our home courts. Our competition team competes in USTA Tennis On Campus events, where schools battle for the opportunity to qualify for the USTA Tennis On Campus National Championship.
Our program has experienced tremendous success in recent years. After an eight-year absence from nationals, SDSU has now qualified for the USTA Tennis On Campus National Championship for three consecutive years. Most recently, our team earned its highest national finish in program history by placing 7th in the nation, showcasing the dedication, hard work, and talent of our student-athletes.
Why we need your help:
Competing at the national level comes with significant expenses, including tournament entry fees, airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and equipment costs. As a student-run club, many of these expenses are paid out of pocket by our players, making it challenging to continue competing at the highest level.
Your tax-deductible gift, of any amount, will directly support our team's travel and competition expenses, helping ensure that financial barriers do not prevent us from representing San Diego State University on the national stage. With your support, we can continue building on our recent success, compete against the nation's best teams, and proudly represent the Aztecs at future USTA Tennis On Campus National Championships.
Thank you for helping SDSU Club Tennis continue our pursuit of excellence on and off the court!
