SDSU Men's Ultimate History

The Federales–SDSU’s Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Program–began organized play in 2003 and has produced numerous professional players, mentored hundreds of college students, and provided countless lifelong memories.

While the program has never qualified for nationals, the program has previously been nationally ranked and is currently on the rise.

Recent History

The club nearly folded because of the impacts of COVID-19. Since then, the program has rebuilt, placed top-10 at regionals in 2023, and developed a class of 10+ players each of the last four seasons. This season, we had enough interest to host a formal tryout process to select the best athletes for our A- and B-teams.

Expenses

Our program is one of the most affordable club sports programs- despite our lofty goals, frequent travel to tournaments, and staff of three elite coaches. Our club spends over $26,000 between our travel, coaching, and tournament fees which is covered by our club dues, school funding, and team fundraising efforts.

Call to Action

In order to keep our club dues low, we need help from alumni, friends, family, and members of our local community. Our goal is to field the best possible roster and compete against the toughest competition, while requiring realistic club fees from our members.
