Since 2003, the Federales—SDSU's Men's Ultimate Frisbee program—have provided students with the opportunity to compete at a high level while building lifelong friendships, leadership skills, and a strong sense of community. Our team is more than just a club sport, we're a family united by hard work, dedication, and a shared passion for the sport.
Today, our program has grown to nearly 45 student-athletes between our A and B teams, supported by three dedicated coaches who help our players develop both on and off the field. As one of SDSU's more affordable club sports, we are committed to making competitive Ultimate accessible to every student who wants to be a part of our program.
Recent History:
Our program continues to reach new milestones each season. This past year, we earned an invitation to the prestigious Stanford Invite, one of the nation's premier collegiate Ultimate tournaments, this is a significant achievement that reflects the growth and competitiveness of our team. We also qualified for the Regionals, continuing to establish ourselves among the region's top programs.
While we fell short of qualifying for Nationals, each season brings valuable experience and reinforces our commitment to improving. Our goal is to continue developing our athletes and competing at the highest level possible as we pursue even greater success in the years ahead.
Expenses:
Competing at a high level requires significant financial resources. Each season, our team travels throughout California and beyond to compete against other strong programs. Donations directly support tournament entry fees, travel expenses, lodging, jerseys, equipment, and other essential costs that allow our student-athletes to compete throughout the season.
Keeping our club affordable remains one of our highest priorities. Every contribution helps us reduce the financial burden on our players while ensuring that no student misses out on opportunities because of cost.
