What is SDSU Men’s Water Polo?

San Diego State University Men’s Water Polo is a collective of 35+ active water polo players looking to play competitive water polo. Though we are a club sport, we have always been a major competitor in the CWPA National Tournament, and we’re looking to continue that competitive tradition in the Fall of 2025.

What we accomplish:

Men’s Water Polo is a group of dedicated student athletes looking for community and competition. While we do have our competitive roster, we have another roster for those who are looking to have a fun and a casual environment to practice and play the sport they love. We are an open and inclusive community of water polo players that look to stay in game-shape and act as a sort of social club for water polo players of all skill levels: we even accepted those with no experience who are just looking to have fun and connect!

On a larger scale, we are an immediate competitive force in the CWPA. We’ve gone to Nationals in the past, we’ve won the title multiple times, and we consistently perform well in our league. We act as a competitive athletic body looking to provide an outlet for players of all types who are still looking to stay active playing and stay competing at the highest level.

Why we need your help:

We need your help because this year may very well be our most expensive. We are looking to field three teams of 12-14 players, and add an additional 3-4 away tournaments, not including our trip to Nationals. With this heavy addition of new talent and competition, our organization needs your help to get us there. We can win Nationals, but only with your support.
