Brief history of our team:
We are the San Diego State Waterski and Wakesports team, and we are entirely student-run and funded. We are currently the #1 ranked waterskiing team in California and ranked 2nd in the West Coast region. We’re training hard every day with our sights set on becoming the best in the West.
Recent successes:
Just last year, we won the 2025 Division 2 National Collegiate Waterski Championship and hosted 2025 West Coast Regionals.
Highest costs:
Maintaining and growing our waterski team comes with significant financial demands. From securing access to boats and covering extensive travel for competitions to investing in high-quality gear and safety equipment, every aspect of our sport requires substantial funding. These resources are essential not just for performance, but for ensuring our team can train safely and compete at a high level.
Call to action, why do we need help?
We’re committed to growing the sport of waterskiing and making it financially accessible to as many people as possible. Boat access, competition fees, travel expenses, and equipment add up quickly. Every contribution helps us break down financial barriers, create opportunities for new collegiate skiers, and ensure that anyone with the passion to ski has the chance to become part of this community. We have the largest team in the region, which means we handle even more expenses. Our team is also working to grow collegiate wakeboarding.
